How to Take a Backup of Android Apps

It is very intelligent to take a backup of your installed android apps especially if you are planning to upgrade your phone to a custom ROM. You can take a backup of all the apps in a very easy and convenient way.


How to take a Backup of Android Apps:

1. Download an app called Air Droid from Google Play Store here.
2. Once installed, open the app and run the service.
3. Copy the ip address from the app and paste it to your browser.
4. Now you will see all your contacts, files and pictures. From here you can backup or browse these. To backup apps, just click on the Apps icon and then a new window will open showing all your installed apps.
5. Now select the apps you want to take a backup of and click Download button on the top right corner.
6. AirDroid will start taking a backup and will save the apps to your computer in .ZIP format.




That's it. You have successfully taken a backup of your android apps.

How to restore your Android Apps:

1. Download ASTRO file manager from Google Play Store here.
2. Now go to Settings –> Applications –> check Unknown sources box and tap on OK on warning message.
3.  Now connect your device to your computer and copy all the download apps .APK files from your computer to your device SD card.
4. Now disconnect the device from your PC and navigate to the directory where the APK files are located.
5. Click on APK file. A popup will appear. Click on Open App Manager.
6. Now click on Install button to start the installation process.





That's it. You have successfully restored your Android apps.
